Positions available:
1. Greenhouse Employees - Part & Full Time Greenhouse Staff - Start date March 1st to end date August 31st
Looking for dedicated, hardworking and plant-loving individuals to work in our greenhouse.
Consists of transplanting, seeding, watering and maintaining all varieties of plants in various conditions.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, in various conditions and work in a team environment.
Dress in layers, take breaks regularly from the heat, stay hydrated.
Willing to train the right individuals, but customer service or prior greenhouse/landscaping experience is an asset.
We are a unique business as we transform to a beautiful wedding venue from mid-June to September, while still operating the greenhouse
Wage depends on experience (or degree if applicable)
2. Wedding Crew – Work commences mid-June to mid Sept. Duties include setting up tables and chairs, setting guest tables, setting out wedding décor, trimming floral baskets, sweeping floors and cleaning bathrooms. Dress in layers, take breaks regularly from the heat, stay hydrated. Work is on Saturdays and Sundays. Hours of work are generally 10 am to approximately 4 pm.
Qualifications:
Consistent and reliable;
Strong team work ethic; and
Ability to take direction as well as to initiate.
3. Bartenders, Weddings and Special events – Work commences mid-June through to mid- September. Duties include bar set-up and clean-up at the end of the event. Serving poured drinks, beer and wine (no blended drinks). Other duties include bussing tables (removing drink cups and cans) throughout the evening, may involving setting out the mid-night snack if required.
Qualifications required:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
ProServe certification
Good physical condition; able to carry 30 lb cases of alcohol and buckets of ice, long hours on feet
Clean, well dressed (wedding apparel- usually black pants/skirt/dress), excellent personal hygiene
